THE ART OF BEGINNING

When our founder first discovered mahjong, a feeling started to root. A quiet thrill. A moment of presence in a world that rarely slows down. She was drawn in by the rhythm of the tiles, the elegance of the process of play, and the way conversation flowed as naturally as the play itself. What began as curiosity quickly became a ritual. A favorite way to exhale, to connect, to sit across from friends old and new, and simply be.

As she shared the game with others, something beautiful happened. Laughter lingered longer. Strangers became familiar. The table began to fill. Not just with tiles, but with people craving connection, learning, and a sense of belonging. It soon became clear that this joy couldn’t be contained within the walls of her home. Much less, she didn't have enough space in her home to meet the demand of people who wanted to learn.

So she imagined more.

A place where mahjong could be experienced comfortably and without intimidation. Where community would come before competition. Where time would stretch, phones would disappear, and everyone would feel welcome at the table. A modern refuge rooted in tradition. A screen-less oasis designed for presence, play, and human connection.
